Munmun Mittra is an engineer by profession with a degree in management. She has worked in academics and in the steel industry in various capacities. Munmun is passionate about poetry and prose alike. She is an ardent blogger and learns Indian classical music as well. Her love for all forms of literature, especially poetry, stems from a childhood where books and proximity to nature were her constant companions. The author feels that various genres of literature and poetry should have the ability to adapt and merge and yet keep their original spirit alive. This book of haikus is her maiden venture into the world of publishing. Her treatment of a class of poetry usually restricted to a certain meter and form has been creatively reconstructed in many of her writings. She is a short-story writer as well and plans to publish her collection very soon. She, however, feels that her first love shall always be poetry
