Starch will go away after cold water wash. But if you want to keep the starch then go for dry clean.

Q:After wash cloth is soft or stif. Colour is shaded or not.
A:After wash cloth became soft as starch will go away. You can go for dry wash for keeping starch or clod wash with starch to redo starching . Color will stay but it may faded after multiple wash . .
