This book is an attempt to capture and convey the exclusive world made by humans that exists in the world made possible by the distance between Sun and Earth. Life as such is a paradoxical phenomena that is premised on distance, particularly in terms of movement, communication, survival, subsistence, self, and heredity. Given the diversity of life forms, the essence of communication between them and within them is not only unique and spectacular but also a precondition. Language as a primitive form of technic coexists with other technologies that propel the continuity of life and death. Even though verbal communication and visual communication are sufficient in themselves, an individual’s life, collective life, and life as a phenomena are emergent of continuous manifestations and abrupt transformations. This book is a combination of words and photographs and the effort needed to synthesize the meaning of words and the meaning evoked by a photograph can be developed by engaging with the photographs and words separately, which makes re-return to the chapters and the overall book a prerequisite for those who love to wander in the outer space of thoughts, actions, and situations while anchored in the subliminal zone of one-self.
