Zero to One : Notes on Startups, or How to Build the Future is a book on entrepreneurship, based on a lecture Peter Thiel delivered at Stanford in 2012.

    Summary of the Book

In 2012, Peter Thiel spoke to software engineers at Stanford, inspiring them to think boldly and try to carve out the future. He spoke of his own experiences, explaining the world of entrepreneurship from a personal point of view. Blake Masters was among the audience, and he recorded the lecture through detailed notes and posted them online. The posts went viral, and soon there was a need for a book which spoke more about Thiel’s ideas on entrepreneurship. In the current age, technology is beginning to stagnate. Information technology has grown at a rapid pace, but progress must not be limited to computers. Thiel explains that the next big entrepreneur will not have built an operating system or a search engine. Instead, tomorrow’s champions are going to be those who look at a unique business, roads which have not been taken. In doing so, they will discover that the roads which have been less travelled by will make all the difference between a zero and a one.

If you are still a Rashmi Bansal lover

    Simply awesome

The condition of the book on delivery was not that good, but the book is worth every penny spent on it, so it doesn't matter a lot. Peter Thiel offers some insightful advice from his experiences. Overall, it's a pleasure to read this book.

    Best for startups, entrepreneurship, leadership

This is one of the best books I have read in my life. I mean it. If you are thinking to start your own business, or you are already running a business, or you're interested in tech, entrepreneurship, startups as a whole; this is the best book you can pick right now. Obviously, Peter Thiel must be one of the smartest guys to start a book of that level. It's a complete EYE OPENER. I highly recommend to everyone in general to know our WORLD through the eyes of Mr. Thiel. You'd not regret spendin...

    Super!

Peter Thiel and Blake Masters have given an honest-to-good story, that is at once philosophy and at another near practical thought process. Yes, it is not a guide. It was inspiring to really understand what zero to one really means and at a personal level it changed my definition and perception of achievement orientation.

Wonderful and powerful line that IT & communications technology has changed substantially but the rest of the world around us is typically old world!

and yes, I think we m...
