The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a children’s book by Mark Twain.

Summary of the Book

Tom Sawyer has a penchant for getting into trouble. He is also ingenious enough to get out of it. When he is tasked with painting a fence, he tricks his friends into doing the job for him. Along the Mississippi River, Tom Sawyer is constantly having adventures with his friends. However, he might have bitten off more than he can chew when he and his friends witness a murder in a graveyard. They swear to never divulge the truth, and they run away to become pirates. As they search for hidden treasure, Tom gets trapped in a cave with Injun Joe, who is an evil half Native American and half white man. Can Tom escape the clutches of the diabolical man or has he finally finished his run of luck?
