He has authored numerous music instruction books. Some of these titles are Kid's Guitar Course Complete: DVD, Scales & Modes for Guitar: Handy Guide, and Alfred's Basic Mandolin Method 1: The Most Popular Method for Learning How to Play.

Ron joined his parents, Morty and Iris, and brother Steven, who also works at Alfred’s Publishing Company. He was a former MI Team Leader and Executive Vice President at the company.

Morton Manus is a pianist, clarinetist, author, editor, and President of Alfred Music Publishing Company.

Manus is married to Iris, who is the Executive Producer at Alfred Publishing Company. Together, they have two sons who are also a part of the company.
