A John R. Leonetti-directed, nail-biting spin-off of and prequel to the critically acclaimed 2013 film, The Conjuring, Annabelle is a horror film that stars Annabelle Wallis of Pan Am fame, Ward Horton and 4-time Emmy Award-winner Alfre Woodard. Set during the late 60s, Annabelle follows a married couple, Mia and John, who are expected their firstborn soon. To brighten his wife’s radiant face, John gifts Mia a doll which she keenly adds to her collection. However, tragedy strikes when a twisted satanic cult of a duo brutally assault the married couple and leave behind a vicious, demonic entity within the doll; what was a gift becomes a diabolical curse.
