This book, inspired by the Mundaka Upanishad, comprises a series of enlightening dialogues between the sage Angiras and his student, Shaunaka, who is an accomplished 51-year-old householder seeking Self-realisation.
The book is the third in a trilogy, following ‘The Awakening of Nachiketa’ (inspired by the Katha Upanishad) and ‘The Awakening of Shvetaketu’ (inspired by the Chandogya Upanishad) — by the same author, who provides lucid explanations to help the reader understand the core of the Upanishadic wisdom, effortlessly and enjoyably.
The cover page illustrates the imagery of two birds located on the tree of life that this Upanishad is famous for. The book points to the ultimate purpose of human existence — a full awakening to the Ultimate Reality, which is possible even while living in the mortal body. It is that unchanging Truth that alone triumphs amidst the ever-changing world of appearances. Satyameva jayate!
