A genuine 1500 Watt immersion heater and it takes not more than 5 minutes for the water to become very hot if the weather is not too cold. The product does not say anything about the length of the power cord and it is not more than 5 feet. You will have to replace the power cord by a local electrician if the electrical socket is high up. All companies are providing five feet cord so nothing extraordinary about it. crompton greaves CG 1000W immersion heater rod
on the first day of use itself we found the screw on the holder of the rod became loose
and it was not holding to the rod kept on the bucket. we were also not able to tighten it
the plastic part also gave crack and some how we are managing with it.
the indicator lamp is also not working. on the whole iam not happy with the product.

Trouble free operation
I have been using it for the past 4 months regularly, working good, didn't encounter a single problem. Since u have a light indicator which u won't find in other rods, is very helpful in hurry-burry morning hours. Takes almost 25 mins to warm up a bucket full of water.

A:1500watts consumes more power but it heats the water pretty fast. Its better to go with 1500watts one. but remember 1500watts comes with 16amp plug (bigger one), 1000watts comes with normal plug

A:slot size no matters, check only wattage 1500 watts of heater will give u one bucket full water in 15 minutes while 1000 watts u have to wait for 25-30minuts
