A mode that is new to this series is the Crew Throwdown mode where teams having up to four dancers or players can go head-to-head in a series of various kinds of dance performances that may include dance battles and other mini-games.
Keep the Beat mini-game involves keeping track of the moves and matching them in sync with the music that plays in the background. The Make Your Move minigame will have the players making up dance routines on the spot and compete with others. There is also a Beginner Mode in Dance Central 3 where the difficulty level is low and is targeted at people new to dancing itself.
