GTA IV or Grand Theft Auto IV is the highly successful sequel to GTA III and is the fourth major sequel to the highly popular Grand Theft Auto series. The game brings in a fresh perspective to the series with Niko Bellic as the main protagonist. The game brings in new innovations and interesting elements that were not seen before in the earlier versions. Grand Theft Auto IV is just the right game for anyone who wishes to experience owning an entire city. You can literally do whatever you wish in a large open world environment with interactive objects and other elements in the game. The game is sure to be a hit with hard-core and casual gamers alike.

Synopsis and Features:

An unknown man from the Eastern European countries ends up on the shores of America and visits a fictional Liberty City in order to meet his cousin. Niko Bellic is also a War Veteran who came off to the United States to get away from the ill effects of a war without morals. He is also brought to the States at the behest of his cousin Roman. Roman has painted a very rosy picture of a life with money and huge mansions.

The American dream seems elusive to the cousins and so they decide to stick together in order to make the most out of life in the new city.
Roman needs to overcome his debt-ridden life and start over a new leaf before he can get back on his feet and he enlists Niko’s help in order to achieve that goal. The initial road to riches is not smooth at all for the brothers as they find themselves slipping in deep debt no matter how hard they try. Niko slowly discovers that Liberty City is a place filled with thieves and thugs who care about nothing except money. The city has its share of powerful kingpins and criminal overlords. He quickly learns that money and social standing are the only two things that can protect him and his cousin and so he goes about trying to get them.

The game is primarily a single player game with a deep seeded storyline and epic moments of gameplay. The multiplayer in GTA IV is extensive enough to keep any multiplayer enthusiast hooked on to it for hours on end. There are deathmatches and multiplayer cooperative missions that you can undertake to keep yourselves occupied for a long time. The game has ranked and unranked matches that earn you money and elevate you through the ranks of multiple players. Take out the competition in-game and see yourself become more powerful in the city.

The single player campaign of the game follows the same format as the previous titles of the series and involves you accepting a string of missions that you are expected to complete. With each mission that gets accomplished, you progress in the game and unlock regions and weapons. The game also includes side missions that can help distract you from the main missions in the story.

Grand Theft Auto IV would not be called so without cars and other vehicles in it that you could steal and use as your own. In fact, this is one of the highlights in the game which has stayed true since the very first in the series. You even have a mobile phone that you use to call and text your contacts.

The game even has its own version of the internet that allows you to browse websites and business listing within the game. This adds a dash of realism into the game and keeps the player hooked on. If you find yourself killed in the game, it is fairly easy to replay the same mission again until you make it this time. The GTA IV version is designed for the PS3 and has a PEGI rating of 18 and above.
