    Author Info
    • Chaman Lal Fotedar is the author of the book Engineer’s Graphics, which has been written in three parts. After 36 years of teaching, the author felt the need of presenting his experience to all students, be it high school students to 6th semester students of Mechanical Engineering to those engaged in Diploma courses without over-burdening them. The author has put in nine years of active service in teaching at I.T.I; PDRY (Adrew) as head of Refrigeration and Mechanical Engineering Departments. The author has felt that time limitations play an active role in fulfilling the needs of presenting one’s full knowledge of the subject. Only 72 hours (i.e) approximately 3.5 months are given to the subject for its completion. This time is divided into therotical (i.e lectures) and practical (practicing on drawing boards). It is mandatory to teach those topics which are most important and are very useful for examination point of view. Hence, the full course of graphics is never taught in the class room.
