    • Javad Hashemi is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Florida Atlantic University and is currently serving as the chairperson of the department. Javad received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University in 1988. The late William F. Smith was Professor Emeritus of Engineering in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department of the University of Central Florida at Orlando, Florida. He was awarded an M.S. degree in metallurgical engineering from Purdue University and a Sc.D. degree in metallurgy from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Francisco Presuel-Moreno is an Associate Professor of Ocean and Mechanical Engineering at Florida Atlantic University and directs the Marine Materials and Corrosion Lab. Dr. Presuel-Moreno received his Ph.D. in Engineering Science from the University of South Florida.
