About the Authors

Robert J. Houghtalen is a former Professor and Chair of Civil Engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. His areas of expertise include hydrology, hydraulics, and environmental engineering. He completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University and received his PhD in water resources from Colorado State University.

Osman Akan is the Associate Dean at the Frank Batten College of Engineering and Technology. His research interests include hydraulics, water resources engineering, surface flow, groundwater flow, urban storm water management and mathematical modeling. He completed his PhD from University of Illinois.

Ned H. C. Hwang is an academic author and educationist.
