Joy: The Happiness That Comes From Within [With DVD] is the seventh text in the New Way of Living series, which examines various inherent aspects behind the feeling of joy and how one can lead a fulfilling life by embracing this feeling.

    Summary Of The Book

In Joy: The Happiness That Comes From Within, author Osho conducts an analysis of the feeling of joy from a radical perspective. Through the use of humour and compassion, the author sets about to prove the very nature of joy and how unhappiness itself has its roots in joy.

In his book, Osho encourages readers to embrace joy by first feeling grateful for the life force within, and for all the learning opportunities presented by life’s opportunities and challenges. He stresses that individuals should learn to seek good in everything versus setting demands or conditions on happiness. According to Osho, when one truly embraces joy, they arrive closer to a peaceful, honest, and balanced state.

The book is divided into 4 sections. These are What Is Happiness, In Pursuit, From Agony To Ecstasy, and Understanding the Roots of Misery. After reading this spiritual book, readers will gain valuable insights into philosophical questions such as how to be oneself, what is boredom, why do people really use drugs, and why do people always daydream about the future.

Joy: The Happiness That Comes From Within was published in 2009.
