  • Description
The book I've written chronicles my parents' extraordinary journey, which began in India and took them to East Pakistan, where they faced tension, war, and civil war, ultimately leading to the birth of Bangladesh. They then became prisoners of war in India, and their life in captivity is part of the story. Finally, they returned to West Pakistan. This personal and historical narrative spans multiple countries and significant events, offering a unique perspective on the region's turbulent past. From the turmoil of war to the resilience of the human spirit and hope. My parents' story is one of courage, survival, and the unbreakable bonds of family. I'm grateful to my parents, who helped me write this story. At the time of freedom, my father was 33 years old, and my mother was 27.

    • Rozina is a dedicated social worker and advocate for women’s empowerment. Her journey began in 2000 with UNICEF, leading polio and different Health awareness programs. Her advocacy soon found a home in the Women Welfare Society of Patna, where she became Project Director and a prominent powerful voice for Muslim women. She contributed a key report on the socio-economic and educational challenges of Muslim women to the High-Level Committee chaired by Justice Rajinder Sachar in 2006. In 2008, the U.S. State Department selected her for the International Visitors Leadership Program, where she represented India in a global forum. She actively pushed for women’s reservation rights in Parliament and served on anti-sexual harassment committees in various institutions like Bank and Patna Airport.
