Summary of the Book

This collection brings together some of Kafka’s most famous short stories. In the Metamorphosis, a salesman undergoes a macabre transformation overnight. He turns into a giant insect, and the story deals with his family’s reactions to his change. His sister cares for him, and she is forced to work as a salesgirl to feed the family. However, this eats away at her calm and she begins to detest her brother, who she blames for the transformation and her current situation. This collection of stories also includes Meditation, The Judgement, The Stoker, and The Aeroplanes at Brescia.
