The plot of this game follows Boss, Gat, and Shaundi, three criminals who, after having struggled hard on the streets, try to make some serious cash for themselves and hit it big by running a media empire. The three are now have their own energy drink, toys, a movie deal, a massive fanbase and more! However, miscreants will be miscreants. When their plan to successfully rob a bank backfires and leaves them imprisoned, a crime lord bails them out of jail in order to gain their stakes in the city of Stilwater. On breaking off the preposterous deal and making a run for it, the three find themselves in hell as the whole of the underworld is bent on doing something vicious that would see the protagonists dead.

The gameplay of Saints Row: The Third interweaves itself between an urban warfare type and an open world adventure game. The player controls the leader of the Third Street Saints and has to perform the many missions and side missions that take him or her deeper into the plot of the game. The Initiation Station system allows you to create your own characters and upload them online as well to share with them with others. You can also unlock certain weapons and allies depending on the decision you make along the course of missions.
