purchased this to upgrade my ps3 superslim but nt in flipkart in sony showrooms.but too expensive those who want upgrade ps3 12gb superslim go for it.you ll get hdd in flipkart of seagate 500gb buy it.

The one thing you need for ps3 Super Slim 12 gb , just go for it !!
PS3 Ultra slim needs these all for upgrade if u have a super slim 12gb model !!
1. Sony Hard Disk Mounting kit [ Please buy SOny original products because you may face fitting complications ]
2. 2.5" SATA hard drive [ 500 gb is enough so better go for a seasgate 500 gb HDD with 5200 rpm instead of 7400 rpm which might heat up your system ]
See guys , its just a simple procedure to fix this thing and upgrade it to 500 gb . So far as being on an economy side , instead of buying a whole new 5...

Nice Option but has 1 alternative too.
this is the best option if U are ready to spend money. But if not, then u can even fit ur HDD without this too..and trust me it won,t effect ur PS3 at all.!! jUST GIVE SOME SUPPORT TO HDD to stay stable.

Basic Thing For UPGRADING PS3 Ultra Slim INTERNAL HARD DRIVE
PS3 Ultra slim doesn't have any hard drives so basic thing needed is
1. Mounting kit [ i recommend this 1 ]
2. 2.5" SATA hard drive [ Max 1tb]
2.1 Hard drive cache 8 MB
2.2 5400 RPM [ 7200 RPM will probably heat up your system so don't take risk]
How to install
1. back up of your files and save games
2. set up the HDD with mounting bracket
3. get the side flip out
4. insert hdd and click back the side flip cover
5. copy your back up in hard drive
6. A System Update will be necessary so...

A:nope... you need to separately buy a desktop internal SATA hard drive of desired capacity. the screw sockets are standard on hard drives and will fit the mounting bracket.
