About the Author
Arif Mohammed Khan, a distinguished politician and statesman, was born in Bulandshahar, Uttar Pradesh. He studied at Aligarh Muslim University and the University of Lucknow. He was the president of the Aligarh Muslim University Students Union (1973-73), the State Minister of Agriculture (1983-84), Energy (1984-85), Industry and Co. Affairs and Home Affairs (1985-86). He also served as Cabinet Minister of Energy and Civil Aviation (1989-90).

A gifted writer who has made a deep study of the Islamic classics in order to understand Islamic law and philosophy, his articles make regular appearances in the country’s magazines and newspapers.

Arif Mohammed Khan was born in Bulandshahar, UP. He is a distinguished political leader and a statesman of high repute. He did his Bachelors from Aligarh Muslim University and LL.B from Lucknow University. He was the president of Aligarh Muslim University Students Union(1973-74). He was the State Minister of Agriculture(1983-84), Energy(1984-85) and Industry & Co. Affair, Home Affairs(1985-86). He had also served as Cabinet Minister of Energy and Civil Aviation(1998-99). He loves books and immensely enjoys studying the Islamic classics to understand the Islamic law and Islamic philosophy. A gifted writer, his articles appear regularly in magazines and newspapers.

A moderate's sane voice

This is a compilation of views and articles of the writer. The writings beautifully bring out the moderate modern thinking among the Indian politicians in general and the Muslim moderates in particular.
He clearly brings out from a deep study of the Islamic scriptures that Islam is a religion of peace and science, nothing similar to what all the clamor around prevalent extremism has made it out to be, and that the future of the Indian nation lies on a path where all its children will be ready...

Just okay

It has good content but the book is a collection of articles written time to time. Hence, it lacks proper coherence and flow. Author is just projecting his thoughts on diverse issues related to Indian muslims but as book on a particular theme, it seems very poorly written.

very authentic book by arif mohammad khan saheb,
an article sending a wrong message in this book is very factual and shows the link between darul uloom deoband and terrorist.
In this article He proved that the all terrorist have the same religious ideology that darul uloom deoband teaches.
Arif sab is not just a political leader but very good scholar and reformer of the society.
