  • Description
International Bestseller - Now in Gujarati, a lot of professors give talks titles titled The Lat Lecture. Professors are asked to consider their demise and to ruminate on what matters most to them and while they speak, audiences can't help but mull the same question: What wisdom would we impart to the world if we knew it was our last chance? If we had to vanish tomorrow, what would we want as our legacy? When Randy Pausch, a computer science professor at Carnegie Mellon, was asked to give such a lecture, he didn't have to imagine it as his last, science he had recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer. But the lecture he gave "Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams" wasn't about dying. It was about the importance of overcoming obstacles, of enabling the dreams of others, of seizing every moment (because "time is all you have and you may find one day that you have less than you think"). It was a summation of everything Randy had come to believe. It was about living. In this book, Randy Pausch has combined the humor, inspiration and intelligence that made his lecture such a phenomenon and given it an indelible form. It is a book that will be shared for generations to come.

    An Introspective Read...

Randy Pausch was not a professional writer and this is not just another 'non fiction', 'self-help' book. He was a professor of Computer Science, Human Interaction design at Carnegie Melon university. He has worked with Google, Adobe, EA.

The title gives you a fair bit of hint what's this book about. It's common for American Professors to look back on their lives imagining they are going to die soon and deliver a lecture in which they tell the audience what matters to them the most and what ...

    His Last Lecture, your first!

It's fascinating how a man who knows that his days on Earth are numbered can actually approach his impending death with such panache! And in the process, he even manages to help the readers set a few ground rules for living life to the fullest. Randy Pausch had it all - be it a lovely family, a neat job, a wonderful life. Everything that a man could ask for! That's why it's hard to digest the cancer's attempt at playing spoilsport. I say attempt because even though cancer was out to put a ful...

    Heart rapturing book.

Just fallen in love with the writer. He is the purest soul you'll ever feel in life. My eyes drenched in tears in many of the episodes. His love was so pure and divine. His purpose of writing this book is not only how to conquer childhood dreams but also giving lessons for his three children in his absence.
May God shower blessing to his soul. Thank you heavenly Mr. Pausch for writing this beautiful book.

    The most inspirational book!!!

Imagine receiving the most inspirational lecture from the man who has his days numbered! Prof. Randy Pausch had just 6 months left to live as per his doctors and yet the man shared all his experiences in one lecture and taught others how to work hard to achieve their dreams. After reading the book, I had tears in my eyes. Everyone who loves reading should give it a try. We all should learn something from this book and never give up on our dreams.
