About the Authors

Leonard Susskind is an American academician and physicist, currently the Felix Bloch Professor of Theoretical Physics at Stanford University, and Director of the Stanford Institute for Theoretical Physics. A specialist in string theory, quantum field theory, quantum statistical mechanics and quantum cosmology, Dr. Susskind has formerly worked at Yeshiva University and the University of Tel Aviv.

Dr. Susskind is considered one of the pioneers of string theory and is best known for his series of Stanford Continuing Studies courses about modern physics on which this book is based.

George Hrabovsky is an American physicist and scientist.
