  • Description

Thus Spoke Zarathustra is a philosophical novel by the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche.

    Summary of the Book

When he was 30, Zarathustra set forth on a soul searching journey and reached the mountains, where he meditated for ten years. The answers that he found became the foundation of Zoroastrianism. In this novel, Nietzche paints a different Zarathustra, one who plays with the definition of morality. Containing the famous line that God is dead, the novel deals with Nietzche's Gay Science conundrum and further goes to show how Nietzche portrays men as the proverbial Übermensch, the Superman. His magnum opus, the book proposes his theories of Transvaluation of All Values and shows how all reality is based on eternal recurrence of the same events over and over.

    About Friedrich Nietzsche

Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche was a German philologist, philosopher, cultural poet, critic, poet and composer known for his ideas on religion, morality, contemporary culture, philosophy and science, and for his works on the concepts of the Apollonian/Dionysian dichotomy, perspectivism, the Will to Power, the "death of God," the Übermensch and eternal recurrence.

Nietzsche became the the youngest individual to have held the Chair of Classical Philology at the University of Basel and worked there for ten years before retiring due to poor health. He read widely over his lifetime, absorbing the works of giants such as Immanuel Kant, Plato, John Stuart Mill, Arthur Schopenhauer and African Spir, and slowly worked a school of philosophy which declared them his main opponents. He wrote widely as well, some of his works are: From My Life, Fate and History, Free Will and Fate, On the Pathos of Truth, Human, All-Too-Human and Beyond Good and Evil.

    free will and genuine skeptisism

Friedrich Nietzsche lives in those echelons where Sigmund freud, karl marx delve. amazingly near to the very philosophy of Bhagvat Gita in which karma and dharma are described with aplomb... amazingly complicated yet so easy to understand... just like the description... book for all and for no one...
