The WD My Passport is a compact and spacious external hard disk that lets you store your digital files securely. Featuring USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 connectivity, this 1 TB wired hard drive allows you to access and save files at a fast speed. With the Auto Backup feature and the WD Backup software, the WD My Passport automatically backs up your laptop’s or computer’s important files to keep them safe in case of a system crash. PROs:
1. Best in class read/write speed.
2. Hinges at the bottom for better surface grip.
3. Preloaded software for backup & encryption.
4. Cable quality is premium.
CONs:
1. If used for copying files for more than hours it starts heating little bit but no too much.
2. A bit expensive.

Bought 1TB one.
First of all thanks to flipkart for early delivery but disappointed because of moderate packaging. After that coming to product.
At first time for 4-5 times the write and read speed was very less about 40 MBps and I thought that the product is damaged but after that the speed just went on.
Read Speed- 100-150 MBps
Write speed- 70-90 MBps
Using USB 3.0
Not checked with USB 2.0.
Why use 2.0 when you have 3.0.

size is very small only 3/4 th of my palm.so choose u r drive cover wisely...
very less heating while used for a continuous copying from lap to drive (2hrs)
connectivity cable is good and material used is a high quality one
i bought for 3800 which is a little bit expensive
if u can get it under 3500 then it is a budget choice
go for it ...its a good drive
