Indresh Prakash Gupta, born in 1940, is an engineer by qualification and a retired businessman. He held the position of production manager in the steel industry before becoming an entrepreneur. Gupta's passion for Hindi literature emerged early in life, and he began publishing his poetic works in 1959. After retiring in 2003, he devoted himself to literary pursuits, producing works in Hindi, Urdu, and Brajbhasha, and translating significant Hindi literature into English. He has received several accolades for his literary contributions, including the "Kavyashree" title and the "Rishikesh Chaturvedi Sarjna Puruskaar."
