Synopsis and Features

Burnout: Revenge has only one objective – perform the craziest stunts possible that cannot be done in real life. Following this objective, you can drive cars at breakneck speeds, drive through rush-hour traffic and indulge in vehicular combat. Different game and race types add more depth to the gameplay, making it a very good choice for gaming competitions. The game includes many new features that will make veterans of the series jump with joy.

Developed by Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts, Burnout: Revenge tries to change the way how racing games should be played. The single-player mode in the game features different race types such as Road Rage: a race where you make your rivals crash as many times as possible within a given timeframe, Burning Lap: a single map race where you drive alone against a time limit, Eliminator: a circuit race where the last player gets knocked out after every 30 seconds, Crash: an event where you crash your car in the most spectacular manner possible to earn Crash Dollars and several others.

A new gameplay element in Burnout series allows you to tag cars and is known as traffic checking. This feature is especially helpful in a game mode known as Traffic Takedown. Utilizing the traffic checking feature, you can ram cars that can ram your rival cars, making it easy for you to annihilate your opponents. If you are a fan of crash events you can play the game for hours by selecting Crash Tour. This version of the game includes 10 new crash junctions, giving you ample opportunity to hone your crashing skills in the game. 

The single-player mode has more than 160 events in the game that are spread across 3 continents. You can improve your rank by completing events to become the number one racer in the game. With more than 70 vehicles available, Burnout: Revenge features cars such as Prototype M-Series ST, Factory M-Type GT, Tuned R180 ST, Criterion M-Type DX and many others.

Online Features

If you like playing videogames with friends and racing together you can do it in this game as Burnout: Revenge features split-screen multiplayer. This element is especially fun when you are playing Crash events. You can challenge gamers across the world by playing the game online. Up to 6 players can join together and play single-player races in the game to prove who the best driver around the circuit is. You can build teams in Road Rage mode and several Crash events are also available online. The downloadable content for the game features several new cars that are easy to drive. The updates, wallpapers and other content for the game can be downloaded directly from the Xbox Marketplace.
