Set in North Africa during the Second World War, the plot of Sniper Elite 3 follows Karl Fairburne, an American OSS agent, ordained to perform reconnaissance and to assist the Allied forces with his sharpshooter skills. Along the course of his mission Karl finds out about a secret “wonder weapon” tank which is capable of annihilating the Allied forces.

The gameplay of Sniper Elite 3 requires the player to be extremely stealthy when making his or her way through the, now much larger, open environments.
