The Last Of Us (Joel Edition)  (for PS3)

The Last of Us is set in a world that is in utter shambles and chaos. The human population has been wiped out, save a few pockets of survivors and nature has taken over the cities and towns. This version of the game is the Joel Edition and it features both single player and multiplayer modes. This video game pack contains extra goodies like a graphic mini art book, mini comic book, exclusive game pack, collectable poster and custom skin for your PS3 controller apart from the game disc itself. The goodies in this pack mainly feature Joel on the merchandise.

Last of Us falls under the survival horror action-adventure game category and takes the gamer to the next level of entertainment with realistic graphics and intense gameplay. This game is developed by Naughty Dog Software and published by Sony Computer Entertainment exclusively for the PlayStation 3 console. ESRB has given this game a rating of Mature 17+ and Pegi has rated it 18 above due to the intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and strong language present in the game.

Synopsis and Features

Joel, the protagonist of the story is hard as nails when it comes to surviving in this post-apocalyptic world. Most humans have been infected by a cordyceps-type fungus that turns the infected into mindless zombie-type creatures looking to further spread the infection. Survivors have banded together with most people staying under the protection of the US military in quarantine zones. The military regime is oppressive and brutal. Regular checks are conducted to weed out anyone who is infected. Joel, an expert smuggler, makes a living as seasoned black-marketeer who is able to get you what you need for a price.

During the course of events in the game, Joel makes a promise to a good friend that he will help smuggle a 14 year old girl out of the military quarantine zone to safety. Ellie, a girl wise beyond her years, has to be escorted to a resistance group known as the Fireflies who will keep her safe and protected. Fight your way through the infected and thieving robbers looking for fresh supplies. The US military realizing that Ellie has escaped, mount a frenzied hunt in order to capture and bring her back.

This exciting game runs on Naughty Dog Software's advanced AI system known as the Balance of Power which ensures that the enemies you fight, do so realistically. They will take cover to avoid your bullets and based on the situation use various tactics to gain the advantage. The Dynamic Stealth feature is a new feature that allows you to try out various offensive action plans in different combat situations.
